Rachel Griffin, DNP, MPH, PMHNP-BC, is a New York City based psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner. She received her Master’s of Science in psychiatric mental health nursing from Columbia University, her board certification from the American Nurses Credentialing Center, and also holds a Doctor of Nursing Practice and a Master’s of Public Health from the University of Colorado. Dr. Griffin has over 12 years of mental health care experience working with a broad range of patient populations and diagnoses. She has particular expertise in the treatment of mood disorders, anxiety, and people with a history of trauma. She was most recently on faculty at the University of Colorado, where she provided psychiatric and telepsychiatry services to the faculty and staff of the university, as well as integrated behavioral health services in the Infectious Disease clinic and to various primary care and substance abuse programs. She is also trained as yoga teacher, and incorporates this training and mindfulness practices into her approach to care.
