My Services
Psychiatric Evaluation
(75-90 minutes)
Your treatment planning begins with a comprehensive psychiatric evaluation. I will conduct an in-depth psychiatric interview to assess your current symptoms and functioning, your past history, and your treatment goals. I also work collaboratively with your other mental health and healthcare providers to best support your health and wellness. At the end of this evaluation, I will go over my initial diagnoses and discuss an evidence-based treatment plan, which may include medication management, referral to other appropriate providers, as well as lifestyle changes or mindfulness strategies to promote wellness. You are always a partner and participant in your treatment planning and care.
Medication Management
(25-30 minutes)
Psychopharmacology is both a science and an art. If we decide that medication may be helpful in your care, or if you are already taking medication, we will carefully review and discuss the best options along with the risks and benefits. I take a measured and evidence-driven approach to prescribing. When appropriate, we may consider using psychogenetic testing to help guide treatment decisions. We will also always discuss other factors that may help reduce the number and amounts of medication that you are taking.
Lifestyle medicine and mindfulness
All treatment planning will also include lifestyle and mindfulness strategies to help optimize your mental health. This includes looking at how things such as your sleep, nutrition, exercise habits, caffeine, alcohol use, and mindfulness practices may be impacting your overall well-being. We will develop strategies to help you successfully incorporate new habits to support you in your journey to wellness.
Supportive therapy
(25-45 minutes)
While I do not currently offer ongoing weekly psychotherapy, I do offer short-term supportive therapy to address things such as acute grief, relationship challenges, or to help you reach a specific short-term goal. I am trained in multiple therapeutic approaches including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, (ACT), Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, psychodynamic psychotherapy, Motivational Interviewing (MI), and trauma-informed care, and will synthesize these modalities to best address your specific needs.
